John Ackerman

Prior, Ackerman served at General Electric's Corporate Research and Development Center, holding positions including Senior Research Scientist, Ceramic Laboratory; Senior Research Chemist, VLSI Technology Laboratory; and Research Chemist, Device and Display Branch. Ackerman has held positions at E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co, Central Research and Development and Centre Nationale de Recherche Scientifique of Paris. Ackerman's IR coating work at General Electric was recognized by the 1997 ASM Achievement Award, the 1992 N.Y. Governor’s Award for Energy Awareness and the 1991 IR-100 Award for IR Reflecting Incandescent Lamps. Ackerman was associate editor of the Materials Research Bulletin and co-founder of the Gordon Conference on Solid State Chemistry. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Wyoming and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Brown University.

Dan Buttry

Credentials:
Director of The Blue Sky Group Inc. Professor of chemistry at the University of Wyoming. Past head of the Chemistry Department at the University of Wyoming. Buttry also is co-founder and director of Advanced Analytical Technologies Inc. Prior, he has served as visiting professor at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, California Institute of Technology and the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences at University of Colorado-Boulder. In addition, Buttry has worked as a research staff member at IBM, published more than fifty scientific papers, holds several U.S. patents and received numerous teaching and research awards.

John Pope

Credentials:
President, CEO and chairman of The Blue Sky Group Inc. As a serial entreprenuer, he is a founder of and holds leadership positions with Nanomaterials Discovery Corp., Centennial Woods Inc., Venture West Network Inc., Blue Sky Restaurants LLC, Cavalryman II LLC, and Blue Sky Batteries Inc. He is a founder of and past president, CEO, COO, CTO and chairman of WellDog Inc. He specializes in materials for batteries and fuel cells, sensors for natural gas exploration and coalbed methane geoprocesses, best practices business models for wood reclamation and historic restaurants, and the nuts and bolts of successful entrepreneurship. He has raised substantial funds for multiple ventures from angel investors, Fortune 100 companies, venture capitalists, and government agencies.

Pope participates in numerous community service, business advisory, and economic development organizations including the Governor-appointed Wyoming Coalbed Methane Water Use Task Force and Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission. Prior, he served as assistant professor at the Tokyo Institute of Agriculture and Technology and as a researcher in the Advanced Performance Materials division of Monsanto Chemical Company. He holds a B.S. in Physics from the University of Missouri-Rolla and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Wyoming. He is an inventor on several issued and pending patents.

Kim Vincent

Credentials:
Office Manager of The Blue Sky Group Inc. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Venture West Network Inc. Kim provides accounting, financial and business support services for the TBSG portfolio of companies. Kim holds an MBA and a BS in Accounting from the University of Wyoming along with a B.S. in Geology & Mineralogy from the University of Michigan. Kim is an adjunct Marketing instructor for the College of Business at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. Prior to joining The Blue Sky Group, Inc., Kim worked as a counselor for the Wyoming Small Business Development Center.

Charles Shawver

Credentials:
Director of The Blue Sky Group Inc. and Centennial Woods Inc. Past owner, president & CEO of Rocky Mountain Wood Products, Inc., a manufacturer of milled wood products that was sold to a private equity group in 2005. An experienced sales and marketing executive, Shawver is now enjoying retirement.
